Cataloging your species allows you to plan your planting sites and determine how certain seeds need to be planted and handled. The Species list has features you can use to organize and view your species.
Species List
Filtering your list: You can filter your list by growth form, conservation status, and seed storage behavior. You can filter by only one field or by multiple fields.
-
- To filter, click on the filter icon. This is the icon directly to the right of the table search bar.
- When you are filtering by a field, you will see it appear above your table. For example, if you filter by the growth form shrub you will see a tag that reads “Growth form: shrub” above the Species list.
- To remove a filter, simply click the x next to the tag above the table.
Searching your list: You can also search your Species list by scientific name, common name, or family. In the Search field, type in the name or family to find the matching species.
Exporting your list:
-
-
To export your species list, click on the export icon (directly to the right of the filter button).
-
This will download your species list as a .csv file. This file can be opened by any spreadsheet program such as excel, google sheets, and numbers.
- If you have a filter on when you export, the export will contain the filtered view you had when you exported. This comes in handy if you only want to export species with certain characteristics!
