The Plants Dashboard shows planting site statistics and Observation metrics for each Planting Site. The data that is shown in the dashboard includes 1) the number of plants and species allocated to the Planting Site through planting withdrawals, 2) planted hectares based on the areas of the Planting Site marked as planting completed, and 3) plant data from assigned plot Plant Monitoring Observations completed for the Planting Site.
The data in the dashboard changes as areas (Strata/Substrata) of the Planting Sites are planted, marked as "planting complete", and monitored through Observations.
Until plants have been allocated to the Planting Site through seedling inventory withdrawals, the dashboard will show limited data. Plant and species data will be shown once Planting Sites have had plants allocated to the site's Strata and Substrata.
Until areas of the Planting Site are marked as "planting complete", they will not be included in the calculated number of hectares planted.
Until an Observation has been completed for the Planting Site, Observation data will not be shown in the dashboard. Some Stratum data might not be able to be shown if the Planting Site only includes one Stratum or if not all Strata/Substrata of the Planting Site have been observed at least once. Survival Rates may not be calculated if the t0 data is not set for the plots required for calculations.
Access the Plants Dashboard using the "Dashboard" link in the left navigation.

At the top of the dashboard, select the Planting Site for which you would like to see site statistics and Observation metrics.

Plants and Species Statistics
This section shows data as soon as plants are allocated to the Planting Site.
Plants and Species Statistics section
Total Planted Complete: Shows the area in hectares of the Planting Site that have been marked as "Planting Complete." The progress toward the target, which is the total hectares of the Planting Site, is represented as a percentage.
Total Plants Planted: Shows the total number of plants reported as planted in the Planting Site based on Inventory Withdrawals
Total Species Planted: Shows the total number of species reported as planted in the Planting Site based on Inventory Withdrawals
Planted Species Chart: Shows the percentages of each of the species planted in the Planting Site based on Inventory Withdrawals. The top five species are named in the chart, and additional species are included in "Other Species".
Species Categories Chart: Shows the percentages of total species planted in each of the species categories represented. The percentage of species marked as Rare is also shown.
Stratum Trends
This section shows trend lines by Stratum for the observed plant densities and the survival rates from the latest Observations. Use the selector to view the data by Stratum.
Stratum Trends section
Plants per Ha Chart: Shows the trend by Stratum of the observed plant densities (numbers of plants per hectare), and includes a visualization of the standard deviation.
Survival Rate Chart: Shows the trend by Stratum of the observed Survival Rates.
Plant Density
This section includes observed plant densities, as of the latest Observation. The Observation from which the data is noted at the top of the section.
Planting Density section
Observed Density: Observed Plant Density (number of plants per hectare) is based on the plants observed within all completed monitoring plots (permanent and temporary) in the Strata observed in the latest Observation.
Observed Density Per Stratum Chart: Shows Observed Plant Density against the Target Density for each Stratum observed in the latest Observation. The Target Density is set when the Planting Site is set up. For more information about setting the Target Density for a Stratum, visit Creating A Planting Site.
Survival Rate
This section shows data as soon as Observations, that include monitoring plots within one or more strata within the Planting Site, have been completed. The data is based on Observation data for the plots used for Survival Rate calculations.
Survival Rate section
Survival Rate: Shows the overall Survival Rate as a percentage of plants that survived since t0. The calculation is based on the t0 data that was set for the Planting Site's areas.
Stratum Survival: Shows the Strata with the highest and lowest Survival Rates, among the Strata that were observed within all Observations. If the Planting Site only has one Stratum, or if all of the monitoring plots that were observed were located in only one Stratum, data for the "lowest" Stratum will not be shown.
Species Survival: The species with the highest and lowest Survival Rates, among the Strata that were observed within all Observations, are shown. If only one species was observed, data for the "lowest" species will not be shown.
Species Survival Breakdown: Shows the percentage of plants recorded as live and dead per species within all Observations. "Other" species observed do not appear in the chart unless/until they are matched with species in the Species list. This section shows a map of the Planting Site, including data as of the latest Observation.

Using the legend, you can view the map boundaries - Planting Site, Strata, or Substrata.
Use the visibility toggles to view monitoring plot corner photos and locations of recorded live and dead plants. Click on the icons for the photos and plants in the map to view additional information about the photos and plants.
Use the Observation Events and Survival Rate toggles to view additional information.
