Use withdrawals to record the removal of seeds from an Accession in Terraware. You should record a withdrawal any time you remove seeds from an Accession for any reason — whether for planting, nursery use, viability testing, or any other purpose. Any user in your Organization can make seed withdrawals.
Make a withdrawal
- Navigate to the Accession you want to withdraw from and click Withdraw.
- Select the Purpose of the withdrawal:
- Nursery — use this when sending seeds to a Nursery to be germinated and grown as seedlings. Select the destination Nursery under Destination. This maintains a traceable connection between the Accession and the resulting seedling inventory in Terraware.
- Out-planting — use this when planting seeds directly in a Planting Site.
- Viability Testing — use this when withdrawing seeds to perform a viability test. This will take you directly to the viability testing form. See Viability Testing for more information.
- Other — use this for any other purpose, such as discarding seeds due to mold or damage. Add a note in the Notes field to keep a record of the reason.
- Depending on the Purpose selected, select a Destination or other additional data.
- Enter the Amount of seeds you are withdrawing. Note: If your purpose is Nursery or Viability Testing, your Accession must have a count-based quantity or a subset weight, otherwise you will not be able to make the withdrawal.
- The Withdrawn By field defaults to the current user. Select a different user if needed.
- The Date field defaults to the current date. Update it if you need to backdate the withdrawal.
- Add any Notes as needed.
- Click Withdraw.
