When your Organization has at least one Planting Season with Species Targets for a Planting Site in Terraware, you can view the Planting Seasons and allocate plants toward the seasons in the Inventory Planning page.
Users, who manage seedling inventory, such as Nursery managers, can use this page to plan seedling inventory and to allocate available plants to specific Planting Seasons.
Viewing Planting Season Targets
In the Inventory Planning table, you can view Species Targets, including the quantities to plant, by Species. Under each species in the table, Planting Seasons with Species Targets for the species will shown. The table can be filtered by Planting Site, Planting Season, and Species. All active Planting Seasons matching the filter criteria will be shown in the table.
In each species row in the table:
- The Available column reflects the total numbers of the species that are in the Hardening Off and Ready to Plant growth phases.
- The Target column reflects the total number of plants of the species in the Species Targets of the selected Planting Seasons.
- The Allocated column reflects the total number of plants of the species that have been allocated toward Species Targets of the selected Planting Seasons.
- The Allocated for Target bar reflects the percent of the Species Targets of the selected Planting Seasons that has been allocated.
To view the Planting Seasons under each species in the table, click the expand/collapse icon next to the species.
In each Planting Season row in the table:
- The Target column reflects the number plants of the species in the Species Targets of the Planting Season.
- The Allocated column reflects the number of plants of the species that have been allocated toward Species Targets of the Planting Season.
Note: When new Planting Seasons are created with Species Targets, and seasons have updated Species Targets, an alert banner will appear in the Inventory Planning page. The alerts are grouped by Planting Site.
Allocating for Season Targets
For each Planting Season with Species Targets in the table, numbers of Available plants (in the Hardening Off and Ready to Plant growth phases) can be allocated.
To allocate plants toward Planting Season Species Targets:
- In the table under a species, find the row of the Planting Season to which to allocate plants of the species. Check the Available column to make sure that there are plants of the species available to allocate.
- Click the pencil icon next to the number in the "Allocated" column of the row of the Planting Season.
- Enter the number to allocate toward the Planting Season. The number of Available plants will be reduced by the number entered to allocate.
The number of plants allocated toward Planting Season Species Targets can be edited at any time.
Note: When plants are allocated toward Planting Seasons, an alert banner will appear in the Planting Season page so that users who manage planting activities can start planning Planting Dates, including inventory withdrawal requests toward Planting Dates.
To see the history of changes to plants allocated:
- Find the Change History link at the bottom of the Inventory Planning page.
- Click the link to expand the log of recorded events for the changes made to the numbers of plants of species allocated to Planting Seasons.
