Managing Nurseries

Before users can start tracking seedling inventory in Terraware, a Nursery or a location under which seedlings will be tracked, must be set up. 

Users with the Admin role are able to manage Nurseries.

To add a new Nursery:

1. Click on Locations in the left navigation bar.
2. Click on Nurseries under Locations in the left navigation bar.
3. In the Nurseries page, click the "+ Add Nursery" button.
   1. Provide a Name for the Nursery.
   2. Provide a Description for the Nursery.
   3. If relevant, set up Sub-Locations for the Nursery. You will be able to select a Sub-Location when adding Inventory to Nurseries.
      1. Click the "+ Add Sub-Location" button to add Sub-Locations.
      2. To delete Sub-Location(s), in the Sub-Locations table, select the Sub-Location(s) using the checkboxes to the left of the Sub-Location Name. Then, click the "Delete" button above the table.
   4. Specify the Time Zone to use when sending notifications about Nursery activities. 
      1. Terraware defaults to using your Organization's time zone. If a different Time Zone should be used, uncheck the "Use Organization's time zone" checkbox and select the time zone in the "Time Zone" selector.
   5. If relevant, provide dates for Build Start, Build Completion, and Operation Start for the Nursery.
   6. If relevant, provide the Nursery Capacity (e.g. quantity of plants).
4. Click the "Save" button to create the Nursery. 

To make changes to a Nursery:

1. Click the name of the Nursery in the Nurseries page to access the Nursery details.
2. In the Nursery page, click the "+ Edit Nursery” button to edit the Nursery.
   1. Note: Nursery Sub-Locations that have Batches associated with them cannot be deleted.
3. Click the "Save" button to save any changes to the Nursery details.
