A Nursery is a Location in Terraware where your seedling inventory is tracked. Before you can add seedling inventory, you'll need at least one Nursery set up. Only Admins can create and manage Nurseries.
Add a Nursery
- Click Locations in the left navigation, then click Nurseries.
- Click Add Nursery.
- Fill in the following fields:
- Name — required.
- Description — optional.
- Optionally, set up Sub-Locations for the Nursery. Sub-Locations let you specify where within a Nursery a Batch is being kept, which can be useful for larger operations with multiple growing areas.
- Click Add Sub-Location to add a Sub-Location.
- To delete a Sub-Location, check the checkbox to the left of its name in the Sub-Locations table and click Delete above the table.
- Note: Sub-Locations that have Batches associated with them cannot be deleted.
- Set the Time Zone to use for Nursery activity notifications.
- Terraware defaults to your Organization's time zone. To use a different time zone, uncheck Use Organization's time zone and select a time zone from the selector.
- Optionally, provide dates for Build Start, Build Completion, and Operation Start.
- Optionally, enter the Nursery Capacity — the maximum quantity of plants the Nursery can hold.
- Click Save to create the Nursery.
Edit a Nursery
- In the Nurseries screen, click the name of the Nursery you want to edit.
- Click Edit Nursery.
- Update the details as needed.
- Click Save.
