Before users can start tracking seedling inventory in Terraware, a Nursery or a location under which seedlings will be tracked, must be set up.
Users with the Admin role are able to manage Nurseries.
To add a new Nursery:
- Click on Locations in the left navigation bar.
- Click on Nurseries under Locations in the left navigation bar.
- In the Nurseries page, click the "+ Add Nursery" button.
- Provide a Name for the Nursery.
- Provide a Description for the Nursery.
- If relevant, set up Sub-Locations for the Nursery. You will be able to select a Sub-Location when adding Inventory to Nurseries.
- Click the "+ Add Sub-Location" button to add Sub-Locations.
- To delete Sub-Location(s), in the Sub-Locations table, select the Sub-Location(s) using the checkboxes to the left of the Sub-Location Name. Then, click the "Delete" button above the table.
- Specify the Time Zone to use when sending notifications about Nursery activities.
- Terraware defaults to using your Organization's time zone. If a different Time Zone should be used, uncheck the "Use Organization's time zone" checkbox and select the time zone in the "Time Zone" selector.
- If relevant, provide dates for Build Start, Build Completion, and Operation Start for the Nursery.
- If relevant, provide the Nursery Capacity (e.g. quantity of plants).
- Click the "Save" button to create the Nursery.
To make changes to a Nursery:
- Click the name of the Nursery in the Nurseries page to access the Nursery details.
- In the Nursery page, click the "+ Edit Nursery” button to edit the Nursery.
- Note: Nursery Sub-Locations that have Batches associated with them cannot be deleted.
- Click the "Save" button to save any changes to the Nursery details.
