Inventory Details

While a high level of your can be viewed under Seedlings >> Inventory in the left hand navigation, for a more detailed view on the seedlings you have, click on the species name in the Seedlings >> Inventory page of the species you wish to see in more detail. This will take you to the inventory details page for that species. 

We organize seedling inventory by “seedling batches”. A new “seedling batch” is created every time you add a new seedling inventory entry. This allows you to keep track of your plants in the nursery and maintain a connection between the seedling batch and the seed accession number your seeds came from. 

To view and edit details about each seedling batch, click on the seedling batch number in the table. Here you can see its associated Accession ID if it has one. You are also able to update the quantity for your batch here. Note that if you do, it will overwrite your existing quantity values for the seedling batch. 

  1. Deleting Seedling Batches:
    1. Click on the checkbox next to the seedling batch(s) you want to delete.
    2. A gray bar will appear above the table once you select at least one batch.
    3. Click on the “Delete” button.
      • Note that if you delete a seedling batch, it is a final action with no way to retrieve your data.
  2. Changing Seedling Status: Do this when you need to change the quantity of your seedling batch and update the status of various quantities. This means moving plants from “Germinating” to “Not Ready”, or “Not Ready” to “Ready”. 
    1. Navigate to the inventory details of the species you wish to update.
    2. Find the seedling batch you wish to update. 
    3. Click on the three dots directly to the left of the “Withdraw” button on the row of the seedling batch you wish to edit.
    4. Click on “Change Germinating Status” if you want to move the quantity from “Germinating” to “Not Ready”. 
    5. Click on “Change Not Ready Status” if you want to move the quantity from “Not Ready” to “Ready”.
    6. Input the quantity you wish to move. 
    7. Click “Save”.
      • Note that you can also change the quantity within each status in the seedling batch number details popup.
