Mobile App: Nursery Management

Use the Terraware mobile app to manage your Nursery inventory and withdrawals while you're in the field. You can add inventory, change the status of existing Batches, and make withdrawals — all from your mobile device. You'll need a data or Wi-Fi connection to use these features in the field.

Access Nursery Management

  1. Tap Nursery Management on the home screen of the app.
  2. Select the Nursery you want to manage.
  3. Select what you want to do.

Add inventory

  1. Tap Add Inventory to create a new Batch.
  2. Specify the following:
    • Date Added
    • Species
    • Germinating Quantity
    • Not Ready Quantity
    • Ready Quantity
  3. Tap Save to create the Batch. Note: Batches with no quantities cannot be created.

Change the status of a Batch

Use this to update the quantities within an existing Batch — for example, to move plants from germinating to not ready, or from not ready to ready.

  1. Tap Change Status of a Batch.
  2. Select the Batch with quantities you want to change.
  3. Use the minus and plus buttons to adjust the quantities.
  4. Tap Save.

Withdraw from a single Batch

  1. Tap Withdraw from a Batch.
  2. Select the Batch you want to withdraw from.
  3. Specify the following:
    • Withdraw Date
    • Purpose — select one of the following:
      • Planting — select the destination Planting Site. Note: if you don't have any quantity in Ready status, you will not be able to select Planting.
      • Transfer Nurseries — select the destination Nursery.
      • Discard Dead Plants — select the destination Nursery.
      • Other — select the destination Nursery.
    • Quantities to withdraw — use the minus and plus buttons to specify the quantities to withdraw from Germinating, Not Ready, and Ready.
  4. Tap Save.

Withdraw from multiple Batches across Species

Use this to withdraw quantities from multiple Batches and Species at once.

  1. Tap Withdraw from Species.
  2. Select the Species you want to withdraw from.
  3. Specify the following:
    • Withdraw Date
    • Purpose — select one of the following:
      • Planting — select the destination Planting Site. Note: if you don't have any quantity in Ready status, you will not be able to select Planting.
      • Transfer Nurseries — select the destination Nursery.
      • Discard Dead Plants — select the destination Nursery.
      • Other — select the destination Nursery.
    • Quantities to withdraw — use the minus and plus buttons to specify the quantities to withdraw from Germinating, Not Ready, and Ready for each Species and each Batch.
  4. Tap Save.
