Projects for Seedling Batches

Projects are a collection of data in Accessions, Seedling Batches, and Planting Sites that can be used to group seeds, withdrawals, and sites that are related to each other as part of distinct forestry projects.

Each Seedling Batch can be added to only one Project.

To find Seedling Batches that have not been added to a Project:

1. In the Inventory screen, navigate to a Seedling Batch list
2. In the Batch list, click the Project filter above the list
3. In the filter, check the No Project checkbox  
4. Click Apply to show Batches that have not been added to a Project

To find Accessions that have been added to a Project:

1. In the Inventory screen, navigate to a Seedling Batch list
2. In the Batch list, click the Project filter above the list
3. In the filter, select the Project(s) to filter for Batches that have been added to them
4. Click Apply to show Batches that have been added to the selected Project(s) 

To add an existing Seedling Batch to a Project:

1. In the Inventory screen, navigate to a Seedling Batch list
2. In the Batch list, click the Batch link to access the Batch
3. In the Batch screen, find the Project field and click Add to Project
4. In the Add to Project screen, select the Project to which to add the Batch
5. Click Save to add the Batch to the Project

OR

1. In the Inventory screen, navigate to a Seedling Batch list
2. In the Seedling Batch list, select one or more Batch(es) in the list
3. Click Add to Project in the pane that appears above the list
4. In the Add to Project screen, select the Project to which to add the Batch(es)
5. Click Save to add the Batch(es) to the Project

To add a new Seedling Batch to a Project:

1. In the Inventory screen, click Add Inventory
2. In the Add Inventory screen find the Project field
   1. Select the Project to which to add the Batch
3. Click Save to create the Batch and to add the Batch to the Project

To change the Project of a Seedling Batch:

1. In the Inventory screen, navigate to a Seedling Batch list
2. In the Batch list, click the Batch link to access the Batch
3. In the Batch screen, find the Project field and click the Edit icon
4. In the Edit Project screen, select the Project to which to add the Batch
5. Click Save to add the Batch to the Project

To add Seedling Batches to a Project during Withdrawal:

1. In the Inventory screen, navigate to a Seedling Batch list
2. In the Seedling Batch list, select one or more Batch(es) in the list
3. Click Withdraw in the pane that appears above the list
4. In the Withdrawal Details screen, select the Project to which to add the Withdrawal Batch(es)
5. Click Save to add the Withdrawal Batch(es) to the Project
