Projects are a collection of data in Accessions, Seedling Batches, and Planting Sites that can be used to group seeds, withdrawals, and sites that are related to each other as part of distinct forestry projects.
Admins are able to add Planting Sites to Projects. Access to Planting Sites is in the left navigation menu under Settings.
Each Planting Site can be added to only one Project.
To find Planting Sites that have not been added to a Project:
- In the Planting Sites screen, click the Project filter above the Planting Sites list
- In the filter, check the No Project checkbox
- Click Apply to show Sites that have not been added to a Project
To find Planting Sites that have been added to a Project:
- In the Planting Sites screen, click the Project filter above the Planting Sites list
- In the filter, select the Project(s) to filter for Planting Sites that have been added to them
- Click Apply to show Sites that have been added to the selected Project(s)
To add an existing Planting Site to a Project:
- In the Planting Sites screen, click the Planting Site link to access the Site
- In the Site screen, click Edit Planting Site
- In the Site edit screen, find the Project field
- Select the Project to which to add the Site
- Click Save to add the Site to the Project
To add a new Planting Site to a Project:
- In the Planting Sites screen, click Add Planting Site
- In the new Site screen, find the Project field
- Select the Project to which to add the Site
- Click Save to create the Site and to add the Site to the Project
To remove a Planting Site from a Project:
- In the Planting Sites screen, click the Planting Site link to access the Site
- In the Site screen, click Edit Planting Site
- In the Site edit screen, find the Project field
- Select No Project
- Click Save to remove the Project association from the Site
