In the field, a bag of fruits and seeds is referred to as a “collection”. Using Terraware mobile app, you can record Seed Collections in the field.
Once Seed Collections are accepted into a Seed Bank in Terraware (e.g. the Seed Collection is checked-in), the collection of seeds is known as an “accession”.
Terraware gives each accession a unique Accession number which will follow it throughout the steps of seed banking, nursery management, and out into the field for planting.
The Accession number is in the following format: Year (XX) - Location (1 for Seed bank, 2 for Nursery) - Chronological Number (XXX)
Example: If an Accession was checked-in to a Seed Bank on Jan. 1st 2023, and it was the 115th accession in the Seed Bank for that year, its accession number would be "23-1-115." Note that while you can delete Accessions, the last three digits of the next accession will be unique and will not re-use the deleted number. This does not affect seed counts and totals in Terraware.
